Westbound Train Pulls into Brooklyn: 3rd Annual Swing-A-Ling

March 28th 2026

Westbound Train ended their 3rd annual swing-a-ling tour to a movin’ and grovin’ room in Brooklyn lats night. Over three decades of honing a unique ska-reggae sound, their soulful tunes are enough to get anyone up and moving, and the crowd last night at Alphaville was no exception.

With many of the members reigning from two northeast ska hubs: NYC and Boston, “members of Westbound Train are fathers and sons, teachers and business owners, studio musicians and band leaders” (as per their website). Their effortless sound takes any room by storm, but NYC was surely lucky to have them pull into Brooklyn' station last night.
