The Summer Circus Tour
On an unsuspecting Tuesday night on Long Island, the circus came to town.

On an unsuspecting Tuesday night on Long Island, the circus came to town.
Less Than Jake
Incredible: over 30 years of connecting with fans, touring and recording masterful records, ska-punk legends Less Than Jake are still at it and stronger as ever.
Playing a full host of songs from their extensive catalogue, the rifts and the vibes at Mulcahy’s on Long Island satisfied the indulgence of both old school fans and new ones alike.
The circus featured the expected Less Than Jake antics, including:
Wavy wacky inflatable arm person, skillfully positioned by their road crew
Toilet paper guns, a cornerstone of their live show. (Some bands have confetti)
On theme, this tour also included red clown noses for the audience and absolutely stellar stage props. Two fans were chosen from the VIP as circus volunteers, joining the band on-stage to dance and help rile up the crowd. Even Mr. Skull, the band’s mascot was dressed for the occasion.
The Summer Circus Tour was nothing short of fabulous, and with support from the Suicide Machines, Fishbone and Bite Me Bambi for the East Coast run, it sold out multiple tour stops. Do yourself a solid next time, and get out to the show!
Matt Drastic, drummer of Less Than Jake and headlining band, greets the audience.

Suicide Machines
Reigning from Detroit Michigan -The Suicide Machines brought an unrelenting and energetic presence only a genuine skate punk ska band can.
Jay Navarro - a veteran to touring and a pro-provocateur danced across the stage, gripped the mic and spit the fire of our youth. With the occasional middle-finger salute to the crowd, punctuated by a smile that politely threatens all misconceptions of punks not being friendly, Navarro led the band’s tour de force into a raucously fun set.
With the circle pit going at full speed, the music felt as relevant and as fresh as ever, the now-released once pent-up energy of the crowd simmered long after they bowed from their set to make way for the grand finale of Long Island’s stop on the Summer Circus.

Keep Flying: Time & Tide
It all begins with an idea.
After an already extensive half year of touring, the guys in Keep Flying landed back home at Amityville Music Hall (AMH).

At 198 Broadway, the address of a local and beloved haunt, as well as the title of a hit song off their last EP Daylight, Keep Flying took the stage like they owned the place. And they just might.

The very special combination that is KF comprises of a band full of energy, sincerity, and unrelenting DIY ethics.
Since 2016, the punk band with horns (not ska) has impacted the lives of thousands of fans in tried and true fashion. The message at their show is simple: community, self love, and following your dreams, no matter what it takes. A testament of which is the palpable positivity which ripples through their audience, the ignition of empathy and collectivity, - the strength of community. A truth you have to experience for yourself, but a dedication of which is evident in the endless slides of band tattoos featured on their Instagram.
Time & Tide is a true reflection of the band’s growth - shining through are the guy’s individual styles. Reflective in the song’s sharp witted lyrics - a narrative style unpredictable, rhyming, catchy and relateable. The brass section does their part to emphasis, encouraging us to dance through the tough staff all of that, percussion (drums and bass?) leading the way in punctuating it all
But all of that is pushed forward by a band who is not afraid to go against the tide.
Pick up a copy of their first full-length album, Time & Tide and something sweet to go along with it (their merch game hyperlink is strong). Time & Tide is available for streaming on all the major platforms, including Bandcamp.

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
